We had high expectations when booking but were really let down. The venue itself is amazing and the staff friendly but the food leaves a lot to be desired. We ordered the large banquet and asked for pairing wines, the wines were amazing but when we received the hot seafood platter at the same time as the steak and with a matching red wine for both courses we realised that this restaurants reputation has not been earned. Those two courses should not have been served together, in addition the juices from the barely grilled scallops were leaking all over the platter so that the fried fish was soggy and tasted like cold scallops.Even though we dine out a lot and have tried many fine dining restaurants I have never been compelled to write a bad review but for what you pay to dine here the food should be a hell of a lot better. The night before we dined at Bommie, if you are looking for a high end experience with food to match on the island I highly recommend you choose Bommie over The Long Pavillion, priced about the same but it was amazing and well worth the cost.
We had the best service, absolute highlight of our trip. Would recommend to anyone and everyone visiting the island. The menu was great with so many options, we loved everything we ordered. AMAZING!
Came here with my husband to celebrate our honeymoon. Hands down the best fine dining restaurant on Hamilton Island. Each dish was stunningly beautiful and almost too good to eat (almost!) Above all, I cant say enough about the incredible staff and above-and-beyond service. 5 stars for professionalism, hospitality, great food and an unbeatable atmosphere! Thank you to Felicia, our wonderful server, and the entire team!
